Sample Letter to Senate

Honorable Senator Pappageorge,

Your colleagues in the House are working on several pieces of legislation designed to accomplish two two things. One is to fulfill the promise of adequate funding for public education in the form of House Bill 4116. The second is works to fix the state teachers pension fund which suffers from a deficit of nearly $23 Billion. I've asked the House Representatives to consider reintroducing legislation from 2005 which would add transparency to school healthcare costs (HB 4274 from 2005).

Please work with your colleagues in the house by either drafting, or supporting, similar legislation in your chamber. Together we can all make a difference and keep our schools funded, our teachers welfare safe, and our costs contained.

Sincerely,
